Peter Frampton To Be Honored With Annual Les Paul Spirit Award
The annual award is presented to an individual who exemplifies the spirit of the late, great Les Paul through innovation, engineering, technology and/or music. In addition to the award, a grant from the Les Paul Foundation will be made in the honoree’s name to the charity of his choice. Like Les Paul, Peter Frampton personifies the spirit of excellence through musicianship and industry recognition. Frampton has also experimented with new technologies and music trends, apparent in his early recordings on albums Frampton and Frampton Comes Alive! and particularly his hit singles “Do You Feel Like We Do” and “Show Me the Way,” synonymous with the use of the talk box.
“I cannot think of anyone more fitting to be honored with this year’s Les Paul Spirit Award than Peter Frampton. Not only is he an extraordinary talent who has given us an amazing array of extraordinary music, but he is an innovator who understands music, technologies, and the spirit of Les Paul,” says Michael Braunstein, Executive Director of The Les Paul Foundation. “If Les were still alive today, I have absolutely no doubt that he and Peter would be experimenting together at Les’ house. I am personally thrilled to be able to present Peter with this award because I know he exemplifies everything Les was about and wanted to accomplish. I want to also thank the Gibson Gives Foundation for partnering with us on this exciting annual award and for everything they do to keep Les’ name alive.”
Beth Heidt, Chief Marketing Officer at Gibson adds: “At Gibson Gives, we are thrilled to celebrate the incredible contributions of Les Paul and partner with the Les Paul Foundation to bring awareness to Les Paul’s legacy as he continues to inspire musicians across generations and genres.”
Erica Krusen, Global Executive Director at Gibson Gives, also offered: “Peter Frampton personifies the spirit of excellence through his musicianship and industry recognition. Gibson Gives is proud to partner with the Les Paul Foundation to present the prestigious Les Paul Spirit Award to this legendary artist who embodies the innovative spirit of Les Paul himself and his landmark contributions to music.”
The exclusive, physical Les Paul Spirit Award for Peter Frampton is made from actual hand-carved acoustic boards built by Les Paul that he used in his home studio. Les Paul designed and created this now historical memorabilia during his life. The acoustic wood piece is a unique presentation and supported by Les’ personal story. No two Les Paul Spirit Awards are exactly the same, given the unique nature of the studio pieces which are being used to create them and their intrinsic value as authentic Les Paul memorabilia.

Alberta Cross 'Re-Imagine' Debut Album ‘The Thief And The Heartbreaker’
Re-recorded in Frome, Somerset, at Ethan John and Dom Monks (Big Thief), Bert Jansch studio (Big Thief), the forthcoming release was self-produced by Alberta Cross vocalist Petter Stakee, and mastered at the hallowed Abbey Road Studios.
The first single, "Lucy Rider," features the vocals of British singer and songwriter Katie Melua now available across all streaming platforms. Check it out below.
“I met Katie in my early 20s. She was one of the first champions of the band even before we got a record deal," Petter reflects. "It felt full circle to meet again after my years away living in New York City and to write together. We ended up doing some songs for her last two records. We’ve always had a creative connection so it was important to me to have her involved with this project. ‘Lucy Rider’ is a song I wrote about a beautiful girl I used to know in East London. She had so much going for her but she kept getting more and more involved with bad company and all that goes with that. It felt very dark to see at the time. It’s about how she kept pushing away all the positives she had going for her and replaced it with the bad things. Katie’s stunning voice felt perfect for this one.”
Katie Melua adds, “I met Petter and Terry from Alberta Cross in the early 2000s and have been a fan of the band for so long, I definitely played the Thief and the Heartbreaker to death during my 20s! So when Petter asked me to guest on the new version of Lucy Rider, it was a big yes.”
Alberta Cross was founded by singer and guitarist Petter Ericson Stakee and London’s Terry Wolfers in the mid-00s. Their anthemic Americana-tinged songs possess a vulnerability and earthiness and they have consistently pushed the boundaries of alternative music with their timeless sound and artistic vision.
Originally released in 2007 as a collection of self produced demos, Alberta Cross’s debut The Thief and The Heartbreaker set the blueprint of their sound.
“It felt so great writing those songs,” recalls Petter. “Wherever I play in the world, I still have to play them. It felt so pure, it was one of the most exciting times I’ve had as a songwriter.”
What followed was success on both sides of the Atlantic and the relentless grind of US touring that comes with it. They embarked on high-profile jaunts with Mumford & Sons, Portugal. The Man, Neil Young, Them Crooked Vultures and Rag N’ Bone Man and performed on distinguished TV shows around the globe, appearing on The Late Show with David Letterman, Last Call with Carson Daly and more, whilst their tracks were featured on hit TV shows such as Million Little Pieces, Sons Of Anarchy and Californication. More recently, 2023 saw the release of Alberta Cross’s most recent album Sinking Ships.

Rare Home Recordings From Badfinger's Tom Evans To Be Released
Like his Badfinger bandmate Pete Ham, Evans was a prolific songwriter; he gave the quartet many of their greatest ‘deep cuts,’ including “Money,” “It’s Over,” “Believe Me” and “Blind Owl.” Evans and Ham co-wrote “Without You,” which went to No. 1 for both Harry Nilsson and Mariah Carey, and is considered by many to be one of the greatest pop ballads of all time.
He sang lead on “Come And Get It,” Badfinger’s smash hit debut, written and produced by Paul McCartney; his soaring tenor voice made “Maybe Tomorrow,” recorded for the Beatles’ Apple Records when they were still calling themselves The Iveys, an international sensation.
Among the 21 tracks on “I Am Myself,” two went on to be recorded by The Iveys/Badfinger: “Fisherman,” and “No Escaping Your Love.”
Performed mainly on acoustic or electric guitar, with frequent vocal and instrumental overdubs, the album’s freewheeling musicality, lyrical playfulness and clever song-construction showcase Tommy’s songwriting talents at an early period in his musical career.
I Am Myself came to be after a long review of material. While reviewing Iveys demo recordings, Tom Brennan discovered that there was more than enough material of Tom Evans’ solo recordings to put together a robust album. Before Brennan could even present the idea, mastering engineer Kevin McElligott proposed the idea of a Tom Evans solo album.
McElligott felt strongly that the time was long overdue for the demos to have a formal release: “Such a supremely talented singer/songwriter who struck an emotional chord within so many. I felt a real strong responsibility to Marianne, Stephen and the Badfinger community to bring these songs out sounding as best they can. This is just the beginning of hopefully many more releases. It’s an honor for me to sit down and work on these tracks. I do hope everyone enjoys this release.”
Everything just came together like it was meant to be. Badfinger historian Dan Matovina made the initial digital transfers. The recordings were then compiled & edited by Tom Brennan, and restored and mastered by Kevin McElligott.
Evan's son Stephen and wife Marianne spent time listening to these songs during the process of putting this project together, as well as contributing photos to this album. Tim Boyle gave permission to use some of his pictures for this project and was excited to hear about a new Tom Evans album, as he is an family friend and worked closely with the band as a booking agent and an assistant for many years.
Released with the full support and cooperation of the Evans Estate, I Am Myself is a limited edition of 1,000 CDs. An art print of a rare early photo of Tom Evans is included.
Earlier in 2024, Y&T Music issued Gwent Gardens, a collection of unreleased demo recordings by the late Pete Ham.

'Have You Got It Yet?' The Story Of Syd Barrett And Pink Floyd Comes to DVD, Blu-Ray & Digital
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Roddy Bogawa and the late album cover designer Storm Thorgerson (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, and Black Sabbath), and produced by Orian Williams (England Is Mine, Creation Stories, Control), the feature length documentary drew praise for its candid glimpse into the prismatic character and artistry of Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett. Visionaries behind prog rock and British psychedelic music, Pink Floyd chartered a monolithic legacy in both music and cultural history. Syd, who gave the group their moniker by combining the names of two obscure blues players – Pink Anderson and Floyd Council, played a crucial role in igniting that history, then left the group before they met stardom.
In addition to the full-length film, the DVD and Blu-ray set includes a plethora of bonus features. Two poignant live performances of “Arnold Layne” are highlighted – this first features David Gilmour and David Bowie (originally released in David Gilmour’s Remember That Night Live At The Royal Albert Hall, 2007). The second is a performance from 2007’s The Madcap’s Last Laugh – a tribute concert for Syd Barrett featuring David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright in their final performance as Pink Floyd.
Additionally, the DVD and Blu-ray includes an interview with Bogawa and director & producer commentary of the film with Bogawa, Rupert Truman, and Julius Beltrame. Further exploring his creative works, the set features discussions surrounding Barrett’s paintings, and spoken word performances of Barrett’s lyrics by comedian Noel Fielding (“Dark Globe”), poet Rob Fitterman (“Rats”) and actor Gerard Bell (“Lucifer Sam”). The package, designed by StormStudios, is completed with an exclusive Have You Got It Yet? poster, which was also designed by the studio.
Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd crystallized a cultural moment where anything seemed possible but where that freedom could come with a cost. Was Syd just another drug casualty? Did he suffer from an undiagnosed mental condition? Or did he dislike the attention and fame as the fun turned to work? While there are no clear answers which might be the case, there is the feeling by all those around Syd that something went terribly wrong. Have You Got it Yet? is a chronicle and a mosaic of Barrett’s creative and destructive impulses, his captivating presence and absence - a portrait of the complex puzzle that was his life.”

Pete Townshend’s 'All The Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes' & 'White City (A Novel)' Released As New Limited Edition Half Speed Mastered Albums
Initially released in June 1982, All The Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes was Pete Townshend’s third solo album and contained two singles “Uniforms (Corp d’Esprit)” as well as “Somebody Saved Me” a song The Who had recorded for their 1981 album Face Dances, The Who version didn’t appear until 1997. The track “The Sea Refuses No River” has since been singled out as one of Townshend’s most underrated songs.
Chris Thomas produced the album, featuring Simon Philips on drums and Jody Linscott on percussion, who would later perform with The Who. Promo videos were made for seven tracks from the album (“Prelude,” “Face Dances Pt 2,” “Communication” “Uniforms,” “Stardom In Acton,” “Exquisitely Bored” and an alternate version of “Slit Skirts”) by renowned photographers Davies and Starr (Chalkie Davies and his then-wife Carol Starr) and released on VHS. Townshend didn’t get to play the album live as three months after its release, The Who’s It’s Hard appeared, and the band undertook their farewell tour.
White City (A Novel) was Pete Townshend’s next studio album in the Autumn of 1985. As the title suggests, the album tells a story of cultural conflict, racial tension and youthful hopes and dreams in the White City London housing estate in the 1960s, not far from where the guitarist grew up. White City (A Novel) was again produced by Chris Thomas and features guest appearances by David Gilmour, Clem Burke, John ‘Rabbit’ Bundrick, Townshend’s daughter Emma, and a young Justine Frischmann, who would later form the Brit-Pop band Elastica.
As with his previous album, several videos were filmed but this time compiled them into a long-form video White City (The Music Movie) featuring the singles “Face the Face” and “Give Blood,” directed by Richard Lowenstein, who had worked extensively with INXS.

David Bowie's 'The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars' Remixed In Atmos
The Blu-Ray audio disc of The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars features four iterations of this timeless album: 2024 Dolby Atmos mix, 2024 Stereo Mix (96 kHz / 24-bit PCM), original 1972 Stereo Mix — 2012 remaster (192 kHz / 24-bit PCM), original 1972 Stereo Mix – 2012 remaster (48 kHz / 24-bit PCM). The Atmos version of the album was mixed by Emre Ramazanoglu and Ken Scott at RAK Studios, London.
Of this new Dolby Atmos mix, the album’s co-producer, Ken Scott, says, “You’re in there with the act, with David. He was so theatrical I think being able to put him into an immersive place makes this a really good choice for an Atmos mix. My whole philosophy with this has been to make it more like a live experience. And I’ve even got him moving about the stage a little towards the end, the way he would have in real life. Hopefully, it just feels as if you’re in the theatre with this amazing show going on.”
June 14 sees the release of Bowie's Rock ‘N’ Roll Star!, a five CD and single Blu-Ray audio set chronicling Bowie’s journey through the creation of the Ziggy Stardust character and the recording of the iconic The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars album. Rock ‘N’ Roll Star! contains 29 unreleased tracks, covers early songwriting demos, recordings from Bowie’s band, The Arnold Corns, rehearsals at Bowie’s then-home, Haddon Hall, BBC sessions, singles, live performances, plus outtakes and alternative versions from the original album recording sessions, which have been newly mixed by original album co-producer, Ken Scott.
The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars is the breakthrough album that catapulted Bowie into the international spotlight. Over the past 50 years, it has remained a touchstone record, growing in stature with each passing year. It is now ingrained in popular culture, its undeniable influence spanning musicians from Arcade Fire to Lady Gaga, to Harry Styles’s androgynous fashion sense to Noel Fielding’s shirts on “The Great British Bake-Off” to Ziggy make-up challenges on Tik-Tok. Bowie laid to rest the Ziggy Stardust persona in July 1973 at his infamous last show with the Spiders From Mars at London’s Hammersmith Odeon, but Ziggy’s impact reverberates to this day.

Fragile holds a special place in Yes' history as the first album to feature artwork by English artist Roger Dean, whose style is now synonymous with the band. Music journalist Syd Schwartz describes the deep connection between the two. "Few marriages of sound and vision are as perfectly suited as Yes and Roger Dean – it was like they grabbed the same shooting star simultaneously. John Lennon's 1973 Album 'Mind Games' Expanded With Ultimate Collection Suite of Releases
On July 12, The John Lennon Estate and Capitol/UMe will celebrate John Lennon’s pivotal and intensely personal 1973 album, Mind Games, with a suite of completely newly remixed and expanded Ultimate Collection editions, offering an immersive, deep listening experience and in-depth exploration of this classic, yet underappreciated record.
Yoko Ono Lennon says: “John was trying to convey the message that we all play mind games. But if we can play mind games, why not make a positive future with it – to be a positive mind game? ‘Mind Games’ is such an incredibly strong song. At the time, people didn't quite get the message because this was before its time. Now, people would understand it. I don't think in those days people knew they were playing mind games anyway.”
Mind Games – The Ultimate Collection offers six different unique listening experiences that are at once immersive and intimate, ranging from the brand new Ultimate Mixes of the timeless album, which put Lennon’s vocals front and center and sonically upgrade the sound, to the Elements Mixes, which isolate and bring forth certain instruments from the multitrack recordings to highlight playing previously buried in the original mix, and the Raw Studio Mixes, which allows listeners to hear the recording that John and The Plastic U.F.Ono Band laid to tape, mixed raw and live without vocals effects, tape delays or reverbs.
All of the tracks have been completely remixed from scratch from the 15 original two-inch multitrack session tapes using brand new 192-24 digital transfers. The Ultimate Collection includes previously unreleased out-takes and stems plus additional never-heard-before audio from archive ¼” reel-to-reels, cassettes, and videotapes.
Mind Games – The Ultimate Collection releases will be available in a variety of formats, ranging from digital and 2CD and 2LP versions to a Deluxe box set featuring six CDs and two Blu-ray discs. The pièce de résistance is a Super Deluxe Edition, a Limited Edition of only 1100 copies worldwide.
Last month, a limited edition four-track Mind Games vinyl EP was released exclusively for Record Store Day as a teaser of the Ultimate Collection. Offered in two color variants – a luminous glow-in-the-dark 140g color vinyl and a 180g black vinyl audiophile version, the EP includes three songs from the set, along with “I’m The Greatest” (Ultimate Mix), a song written by John for Ringo Starr, which appeared on his 1973 album, Ringo. This previously unreleased version features Lennon on vocals, George Harrison on guitar and Starr on drums.

Many Renowned Musicians Object To Release Of 'New' Recordings By Late Small Faces & Humble Pie Singer Steve Marriott
As reported by Variety, Los Angeles-based independent label Cleopatra Records has engaged in discussions with the Marriott estate about completing some of his unfinished demos with the aid of AI technology, though the label ultimately plans to release the recordings in their original form “for now” via three as-yet-unscheduled compilations.
Chris France, who has been managing director of Marriott’s estate since 1997, admits that while “there are no confirmed plans to use Steve Marriott’s voice on AI recordings, that does not mean a deal will not be done with one of several suitors who have made offers…I am afraid that [Mollie Marriott’s] opinions are of no consequence to me or his estate.”
Humble Pie founding member, drummer Jerry Shirley, confirmed an attempt by Cleopatra to create a version of the “Georgia on My Mind” with AI-generated vocals “by” Marriott which he could then compare the result with his memories of Marriott’s own informal renditions of the song. The AI recording was “horrible,” Shirley told Variety. “It sounded like someone trying to sound like someone trying to sound like Steve Marriott.”
“The Marriott Estate is due to release an AI solo album of old and new songs of my father, Steve,” said Mollie Marriott in a previously released official statement. “Sadly, the surviving family which comprises just my siblings Lesley, Toby, Tonya, and I, have nothing to do with the Estate as there was no will. It is run by my stepmother who was only with my father for two years prior to his death and has since been re-married.
“We, along with his bandmates of Humble Pie and Small Faces are looking to stop this album from happening as it would be a stain on my father’s name. Someone who was known as one of the greatest vocalists of our generation, with such a live and raw vocal, it would absolutely break his heart if he were alive to know this. This is only for money, not art nor appreciation.
“It is the start of a campaign I wish to lead against this sort of thing, where deceased artists have no rights and that everything natural in this world is truly dying, including creativity and the arts, as AI comes into play. It’s a sad world to behold.”
Steve Marriott, who passed away in 1991 at the age of 44, was among the most gifted and iconic artists in the long-storied history of British music. In a career that spanned two decades, the singer-songwriter-guitarist co-founded two of the most acclaimed and influential bands of the 1960s and 1970s, Small Faces (with whom he was posthumously inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame) and Humble Pie. Small Faces proved as influential as any band of their extraordinary era, bridging R&B, pop, soul, psychedelia, and the primal power of what soon became known as punk rock. The band’s distinctly English sound and vision later provided a blueprint for the Britpop movement of the 1990s. Upon Small Faces’ dissolution, Marriott co-founded Humble Pie and once again left his mark on rock ‘n’ roll with a new kind of hard rock built upon riff-driven no-frills boogie and simple raw power.
Marriott was already a star by the time he co-founded Small Faces, first as a child actor performing on London’s West End as The Artful Dodger in Oliver! and then as 16-year-old leader of the popular R&B group, The Moments. Marriott came together with drummer Kenney Jones and the late bassist-songwriter Ronnie Lane as Small Faces in 1965, joined the following year by keyboardist Ian MacLagan. The band immediately ascended to the forefront of the Mod scene with their high-energy sound, fronted by Marriott’s unmistakable soul-influenced vocals. Over their short but blazing lifespan, Small Faces scored eight UK Top 10 singles, including “Whatcha Gonna Do About It” (later covered by the Sex Pistols), “Here Comes The Nice,” “Itchycoo Park,” “Lazy Sunday,” “Tin Soldier,” and the #1 hit, “All or Nothing.” Their final album, 1968’s classic Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake, spent six weeks atop the album chart and to this day stands tall as a British psychedelic rock landmark for its singular collage of rousing lysergic R&B, folk eccentricity, and pop-art imagination.
Marriott departed Small Faces in 1969 and teamed with guitarist Peter Frampton, bassist Greg Ridley, and drummer Jerry Shirley as Humble Pie. Considered one of the first supergroups for each member’s previous involvement in other popular bands, Humble Pie instantly proved a momentous outfit, their crushing blend of hard rock, boogie, and blues providing an early example of what came to be known as heavy metal. Marriott led Humble Pie through UK and US success in a range of incarnations, encompassing a further range of influences – from country to soul – but all were hailed for their charged live performances and of course, Marriott’s irrepressible vocals and songcraft at the forefront. A variety of reunions, collaborations, and solo efforts followed Humble Pie’s initial success. Marriott carried on through the 1980s, lighting up live stages in the UK and the US with over 200 gigs each year before his death in a fire at his Essex home on April 20, 1991.

The shows in New York and Los Angeles will be Gilmour’s only concert appearances in North America and will take place at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA, on October 29 and 30, and at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, on November 4 and 5.
Fans will need to sign up at davidgilmour.com to get first access to tickets on Wednesday, May 15 at 10:00 AM local time. The general on sale for all shows will take place on Friday, May 17 at 10:00 AM local time.
The touring band includes: David Gilmour, guitar and vocals; Guy Pratt, bass and background vocals; Greg Phillinganes, keyboards; Rob Gentry, Keyboards; Adam Betts, drums; Ben Worsley, guitar; Louise Marshall, background vocals; Hattie Webb and Charlie Webb, background vocals.
Luck and Strange was recorded over five months in Brighton and London and is Gilmour’s first album of new material in nine years. The record was produced by David and Charlie Andrew, best known for his work with alt-J and Marika Hackman.
The majority of the album’s lyrics have been composed by Polly Samson, Gilmour’s co-writer and collaborator for the past 30 years. Samson says of the lyrical themes covered on Luck and Strange, “It’s written from the point of view of being older; mortality is the constant.” Gilmour elaborates, “We spent a load of time during and after lockdown talking about and thinking about those kind of things.”
The album features eight new tracks along with a beautiful reworking of The Montgolfier Brothers’ "Between Two Points" and has artwork and photography by the renowned artist Anton Corbijn.
Musicians contributing to the record include Guy Pratt and Tom Herbert on bass, Adam Betts, Steve Gadd and Steve DiStanislao on drums, Rob Gentry and Roger Eno on keyboards with string and choral arrangements by Will Gardner. The title track also features the late Pink Floyd keyboard player Richard Wright, recorded in 2007 at a jam in a barn at David’s house.
Some contributions emerged from the live streams that Gilmour and family performed to a global audience during the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021; Romany Gilmour sings, plays the harp and appears on lead vocals on "Between Two Points." Gabriel Gilmour also sings backing vocals.

Regarding the process of creating the album, Young says: “Writing and recording The Perfect Stranger in 1980 was a thrill-a-minute for me, having never done any co-writing with amazing songwriters or recorded with LA’s finest studio musicians…Writing songs with Michael McDonald, Wendy Waldman and Danny O’Keefe was a dream come true and took me to musical places I had never been…It just doesn’t get any better.”

The Dead Forever Experience will be open five days a week for the duration of Dead & Company’s Dead Forever: Live at Sphere residency and will be open to the public at no charge.
Visitors can explore more than 22,000 square feet of interactive exhibit space across two floors, which will be located at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.
Some of the highlights of the “Dead Forever Experience” will include:
- A 1:4 scale functioning recreation of the infamous Wall of Sound: The massive and revolutionary sound system with stacked speakers was originally designed by audio engineer Owsley Stanley specifically for the Grateful Dead’s concerts in 1974. This 500-speaker, 7,000-watt multichannel wall was built by Anthony Coscia of “Le Petit Mur De Son.”
- Participation Row: The continuing partnership between Dead & Company, HeadCount, and REVERB where fans have gathered to take action for people and the planet since 2015. Fans can visit the Participation Row Pop-Up to get involved with causes important to the band, support nonprofit groups, collect a free VOTE pin, bid on charity auctions, and reflect on the incredible positive impact that Dead & Company fans have made over the years.
- Art at the Edge of Magic: Mickey Hart’s new immersive art exhibition showcasing his groundbreaking vibrational expressionism. This exhibit will be the first of its kind, showcasing dozens of sensory-enhancing pieces touching on all of Hart’s art forms and mediums, including a breathtaking blacklight immersion.
- SiriusXM Grateful Dead Channel Zone: Pre-show broadcasts hosted by Gary Lambert, David Gans, and Big Steve Parish will air throughout opening weekend starting Thursday, May 16, and will continue every Thursday through the residency with the Big Steve Hour.
- An American Beauty: Grateful Dead Photography 1965-1995: A photography exhibit curated by Jay Blakesberg and his daughter Ricki will feature 145 images by 27 different photographers, including many rare and unseen photographs. The exhibition is capped off with a section devoted to the continuation of “The Long Strip Trip,” featuring Dead & Company images taken by Jay Blakesberg and Chloe Weir.
- The Cinema, an exclusive Vibee VIP experience, will feature Dead & Company’s epic performance from Cornell University’s Barton Hall. The historic benefit concert for nearly 5,000 fans took place on May 8, 2023, the same date and venue as the Grateful Dead’s highly acclaimed performance at Cornell in 1977.
In addition to the immersive exhibits and interactive activities, the "Dead Forever Experience" will include a retail store where fans will have the opportunity to explore a diverse selection of items. The store will offer collector-worthy and exclusive Dead & Company merchandise, including show posters, apparel, and accessories. The store will also feature Grateful Dead vinyl and merchandise from James Perse, Teton Gravity Research, and more.
