Robin Trower Announces 'One Moment In Time: Live In The USA' For Early 2026 Release

Photo: Jim Arbogast
Guitarist Robin Trower will release a new live album titled One Moment In Time: Live In The USA on January 30 via Artone/Provogue.  For the guitarist, stage and studio are two sides of the same coin. If you’ve followed his six-decade career, you’ll know every song on One Moment In Time: Live In The USA - starting with Day of the Eagle, the opening song to his 1974 masterpiece Bridge of Sighs. Have a listen below.

In the summer of 2025 and riding high on the acclaim for his latest solo album, Come And Find Me (“Trower is to be treasured,” wrote Classic Rock), the guitarist crossed the Atlantic for a 25-date run in the nation that has welcomed him since the start. Almost 60 years have passed since Trower first performed in the U.S., but as a British gunslinger raised under slate-grey South London skies, he still remembers the culture shock. “I first came here with Procol Harum in the late-Sixties. Back then, it was a different world,” he says.

A lifetime later, with sound engineer James Kane rolling tape at multiple venues on the tour, it fell to Trower to decide which performances would be immortalized for One Moment In Time: Live In The USA. Every show was cooking, but after countless hours of intense study, Trower honed in on the material caught at the Music Box At The Borgata, Atlantic City, New Jersey (June 14) and the Tupelo Music Hall in Derry, New Hampshire (June 24). “The new album is the best take of each song from those two nights,” he explains. “It’s about the performance but also down to the sound quality. You have to choose carefully – I did a lot of listening.”

The 14-song setlist represents a whistlestop guide to Trower’s fabled career, the bluesman striking a keen balance of all-time classics and new songs that reflect where he stands as an artist in modern times. You’ll find no fewer than four songs from 1974’s gold-selling masterpiece, Bridge Of Sighs, still universally hailed amongst the greatest albums from the golden era of blues-rock. “Those songs have to be in there, because they’re the audience’s favorites,” he says of these roaring renditions of "Too Rolling Stoned," "Day Of The Eagle," "Little Bit Of Sympathy" and the Bridge Of Sighs album, “That album is still a compelling piece of music.”

Other old favorites include "Daydream" (from 1973’s solo debut, Twice Removed From Yesterday) and "Somebody Calling" (from 1977’s In City Dreams). Elsewhere, Trower plays the aces up his sleeve with surprise airings of "Rise Up Like The Sun" (from 1994’s 20th Century Blues) and "Distant Places Of The Heart" (from his 2007 collaboration with the late Cream bassist Jack Bruce, Seven Moons).

Trower is no heritage artist, and the cheers are just as loud for the four songs from 2022’s No More Worlds To Conquer, not to mention his stalking take on "One Go Round" (from Come And Find Me).  But as the veteran bandleader acknowledges, the flying sparks on One Moment In Time: Live In The USA are down to the chemistry between his trusty power-trio: a three-headed beast that moves as one through the set’s shifting dynamics and time signatures, with Richard Watts on bass and vocals and Chris Taggart on drums.

One Moment In Time: Live In The USA, then, is a document of Robin Trower in full flight, just as powerful when experienced through your home speakers as it was for the fans on the front row. “At the very least, you want the audience to be feeling entertained by the end of the show,” he considers. “But I’d really like them to walk out feeling elated. I want them to get something emotionally out of this as well…”

Foghat Receive Plaque For 25 Million Plays On Apple Music

Foghat, who recently released a 50th Anniversary Edition of Fool For The City, reached a new landmark in their career with an astonishing 25 million plays of “Slow Ride,” their signature song, on Apple Music.

They were surprised on stage during their show October 3rd at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester, MA, where they were presented with a commemorative plaque marking the milestone.

A video of the presentation can be seen below.

They made sure that credit went where it was due. Plaques are also being sent to the song’s original creators: Lonesome Dave Peverett, Rod Price, and Nick Jameson, with Peverett’s and Price’s families receiving theirs in tribute, and one traveling all the way to Jameson’s home in Reykjavik, Iceland.

In November, Foghat will play shows in the U.K. for the first time since the early 70s. Once “blackballed” after leaving Savoy Brown, they went on to do very well in the U.S. but playing the U.K. again has always been on their wish list.

They will perform November 15 at the HRH Prog Festival in Great Yarmouth and November 16 at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London (both with Asia featuring John Payne), before closing out at Manchester’s Band on the Wall on November 18.

Founding drummer Roger Earl: “I love playing with this band! We’re still having the time of our lives out here. And I can’t wait for our friends and family in the U.K. to finally get to see the band LIVE!”

Foghat's most recent studio album, Sonic Mojo, featuring Earl, Bryan Bassett (lead/slied guitar), Scott Holt (lead vocals/guitar), and Rodney O'Quinn (bass), dropped in November 2023 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard “Blues Album” chart, holding steady in the Top 10 for an incredible 34 weeks.

The band heads back into the studio this month to start recording their next studio album--due out in 2026. Their current “SLOW RIDE 50TH Anniversary” tour continues through 2025 with their 2026 "TWANG & BANG” Tour getting ready to roll. Many shows have already been booked into the new year, which includes stops in Hawaii, Finland, Sweden, as well as another round of nationwide U.S. tour dates.

RUSH Adds More Dates To 2026 'Fifty Something' Tour, Announce New Anthology

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson recently announced their return to the stage for a very special 2026 headline tour, Fifty Something, in celebration of Rush’s music, legacy, and the life of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart.

Due to incredible demand, the band announces additional dates in most cities, including two new dates at the Kia Forum – Thursday, June 11, and Saturday, June 13. These shows mark the first time Lee and Lifeson have toured together in eleven years, since the finale of RUSH’s R40 Tour on August 1, 2015, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, CA, bringing it full circle with a return to the Kia Forum to embark upon these special shows.

Of the tour, Geddy Lee says:
“It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of Rush alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil. A lifetime’s worth of songs that we had put our cumulative hearts and souls into writing, recording and playing together onstage. And so, after all that has gone down since that last show, Alex and I have done some serious soul searching and come to the decision that we fucking miss it, and that it’s time for a celebration of 50-something years of Rush music. So in 2026 my BFF Lerxst (aka Alex Lifeson) and I are going to hit the road once again to pay tribute to our past and to Neil by performing a vast selection of Rush songs in a handful of cities. No small task, because as we all know Neil was irreplaceable.

Yet life is full of surprises, and we have been introduced to another remarkable person; an incredible drummer and musician who is adding another chapter to our story while continuing her own fascinating musical journey. Her name is Anika Nilles, and we could not be more excited to introduce her to our loyal and dedicated Rush fanbase, whom, we know, will give her every chance to live up to that near impossible role. Before we hit the stage, we also hope to add another musician or two to expand our sound a wee bit and free up Alex and I, in order to show off some of our new fancy dance steps. Lerxst, Anika and myself, along with many of our longstanding crew members have been hard at work rehearsing and designing the kind of Rush show you’ve grown accustomed to expect from us. We dearly hope you will come along and help us celebrate our history together.”

Carrie Nuttall-Peart and Olivia Peart, Neil’s widow and daughter, share:

“We are thrilled to support the Fifty Something tour, celebrating a band whose music has resonated and inspired fans for generations, and to honor Neil’s extraordinary legacy as both a drummer and lyricist. Neil’s musicianship was singular. Compositions of intricacy and power that expanded what rhythm itself could express. As both drummer and lyricist, he was irreplaceable. Inimitable in his artistry and unmatched in the depth and imagination he brought to the lyrics that inspired and moved so many, he profoundly shaped how fans connected with him and the band, giving voice and meaning to their own lives. As the band enters this new chapter, it promises to be truly unforgettable. We are excited to see how their new vision unfolds, and to hear this legendary music played live once again.”

Rush will perform multiple shows in seven cities across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, beginning June 7, 2026, at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles. These special “evening with” shows will find the band playing two sets each night. Each show will feature a distinct selection of songs, and Rush will build each night’s setlist from a catalogue of 35 songs, including their greatest hits and fan favorites.

For Fifty Something, Lee and Lifeson will be accompanied by German drummer, composer, and producer Anika Nilles, who has performed as Jeff Beck’s drummer for over 60 shows and has released four solo albums.

Fans will be able to participate in the Rush Artist Presale by signing up at https://livemu.sc/rush now.

New Ozzy Osbourne Memoir, 'Last Rites', Out Tomorrow

Tomorrow (Tuesday, October 7) marks the publication of Ozzy Osbourne's second autobiography, Last Rites (Grand Central Publishing). The memoir was finished just days before the rock icon’s untimely passing and it chronicles the past seven or so years of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter’s life.

Last Rites is the shocking, bitterly hilarious, never-before-told story of the singer's descent into hell. Along the way, he reflects on his extraordinary life and career, including his marriage to wife Sharon, alongside his reflections on what it took for him to get back onstage for the triumphant “Back to the Beginning” concert, streamed around the world, where Osbourne finally reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates and surrounded by the musicians he’d befriended throughout his storied career. Unflinching, brutally honest, but surprisingly life-affirming, Last Rites demonstrates once again why Ozzy Osbourne has transcended his status as “The Godfather of Metal” and “The Prince of Darkness” to become a modern-day folk hero and international treasure.

At the age of 69, the singer was on a triumphant farewell tour, playing to sold-out arenas and rave reviews all around the world. Then disaster. In a matter of just a few weeks, he went from being hospitalized with a finger infection to having to abandon his tour—and all public life—as he faced near-total paralysis from the neck down. He never toured again.

On July 22, Ozzy Osbourne, at the age of 76, passed away, just weeks after his final public performance.

Yes Launches 'The Fragile Tour 2025'

Yes have launched their “The Fragile Tour 2025” with their first show in Wallingford, CT. At these “evening with Yes” shows, the progressive rock veterans will perform their early 1971 album, Fragile, in its entirety along with classics cuts from their catalog.

The band is excited to perform in front of a video wall featuring artwork by design visionary Roger Dean, whose longtime relationship with YES began with his design of the Fragile album. The animation of Dean’s iconic YES logos and album artwork through the years brings his visuals into this decade. His art will be on display in the merch area at all the shows.

“The first time I watched the animations with the music was just incredible; it’s wonderful that it was so much more powerful with both together,” says Dean.

The multi-platinum album Fragile album features their signature songs “Roundabout,” “Long Distance Runaround,” and “Heart of the Sunrise.” Marking the band’s fourth studio album, Fragile was released in the UK in November 1971 and in the US in January 1972. The “Fragile Tour” is regarded as a key moment is Yes’ history — it’s when the band became a headline act in the US.

“All the band’s albums had a unique feel and approach,” reflects Steve Howe. “After ‘The Yes Album,’ so many things came together, with [co-producer] Eddie Offord steering the proceedings. While the band focused on only four main songs with full arrangements, each of us wrote and designed a solo piece, which was Bill [Bruford]'s great idea. It's fairly 'odd-ball,' but we were at the height of our creativity, determined for success.” Howe adds: “It gave us confidence, further than our own in-stock belief, we'd crafted this unusual but noticeable musical twist to rock and what later became prog.”

Fragile also marks the band’s first album to be designed by Roger Dean. He would also design many of YES’ future album covers, the band’s logo, and live stage sets. This striking union of music and design is key in how Yes’ sound and vision would be perceived; it also underlined how important artistic visuals were becoming in the rock world. On “The Fragile Tour 2025,” Yes will perform in front of a video wall featuring animations of Dean’s art, bringing Yes’ art into the 2020s.  Roger Dean art will be available in the merch area at all the shows.

“Roger was and is quintessential to the look of Yes,” notes Howe. “He’s still creating great paintings and design — he has no competition.”
